Jun 06, 2011

Amherst, NY (June 6, 2011) — ATTO Technology, Inc., a global leader of storage connectivity and infrastructure solutions for data-intensive computing environments, will be showing its extensive line of storage connectivity products at the 2011 HP Discover show in Las Vegas, Nevada June 6 through June10. Located in booth 433, in the Venetian Conference Center, ATTO will feature their Celerity 8Gb/s Fibre Channel Host Bus Adapters (HBAs) and ExpressPCI HBAs showcasing a variety of HP-qualified products for a wide spectrum of Fibre Channel, SCSI or iSCSI storage infrastructure products in Mac OS® X, Windows® and Linux environments.

Highlighting ATTO's offerings is their exciting new solution that allows professionals in the rich-content digital media market connectivity to HP's feature-rich P2000 G3FC Modular Smart Array (MSA) storage system in Mac® environments through their Multipath Director technology. ATTO's Celerity line of HBAs are the industry's only Fibre Channel cards with 8Gb/s speeds that provide high performance connectivity to feature-full storage for Mac platforms, a solution especially useful in media and entertainment, healthcare, oil and gas, government and education, scientific, advertising and rich content digital asset creation.

"HP Discover is a great opportunity to illustrate why ATTO is the leader in storage connectivity solutions, especially in the Mac market," said Wayne Arvidson, senior director of sales and marketing at ATTO Technology, Inc. "ATTO provides solutions for a variety of operating systems, but for the first time, professionals using the most demanding workstation-based applications can meet those needs with HP's P2000 G3 Modular Storage Array powered by ATTO's Celerity Fibre Channel HBAs."

ATTO also offers several software-based solutions for the Apple OS® X market. Xtend SAN software allows Mac® users to take advantage of the benefits of Internet SCSI (iSCSI), by using existing Ethernet expertise and equipment of a Storage Area Network (SAN). By installing the Xtend SAN iSCSI initiator on an OS X workstation, users can leverage key SAN applications such as collaborative digital video/audio workflows, laptop connectivity to SANs, and remote backups.
