Amherst, NY (August 14, 2012) — ATTO Technology, Inc. today announced its Desklink™ category of products designed to allow all-in-ones, laptops and Ultrabooks to utilize high- performance storage and networks is now shipping. The first two offerings in ATTO's extensive, next generation portfolio of connectivity products are the ThunderLink® and ThunderStream® devices.
“We are excited to be shipping our first products in the Desklink category,” said Wayne Arvidson, vice president of marketing at ATTO Technology, Inc. “The tremendous response we received from our technology demonstrations and announcements of our ThunderLink® and ThunderStream® devices over the past months has translated into the highest level of interest in any new product ATTO has ever introduced.”
Desklink devices are ATTO's latest breakthrough in high-performance storage and network connectivity technology. New small form factor platforms, such as laptops, all-in-ones and Ultrabooks, are as powerful as desktop or desk-side systems, but face the challenge of interfacing into high-performance storage and network infrastructures. Desklink devices allow these platforms unprecedented access to Fibre Channel SANs, SAS storage or 10GbE networks.
ATTO is showcasing Desklink™ devices at IBC 2012 in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, September 7 through September 11, in Hall 7, Stand F41 of the RAI Exhibition and Congress Centre. Desklink devices will also be demonstrated in a number of ATTO Access™ partner booths throughout the show as well as other events throughout the year.
“For 25 years, ATTO Technology has demonstrated the leadership that provides our customers breakthroughs in storage and network connectivity and performance,” added Arvidson. “ThunderLink® and ThunderStream® are two excellent examples of delivery on that vision.”
