IBC 2007, Amsterdam, NL – (September 7, 2007) – ATTO Technology, Inc., a global leader of storage connectivity and infrastructure solutions for data-intensive computing environments, announced today that its ExpressPCI SCSI host adapters and Celerity Fibre Channel host adapters have been certified by Blackmagic Design with their Multibridge editing systems and DeckLink HD/SD broadcast video cards.
The combination of ATTO's host adapters and Blackmagic's editing systems and video cards provides customers with certified post-production and broadcast solutions that provide the throughput necessary for capturing and editing HD and SD video. ATTO offers a broad range of certified PCI-X and PCI Express host adapters, like the ExpressPCI UL5D dual-channel Ultra320 SCSI adapter, the Celerity FC-42XS dual-channel 4-Gb Fibre Channel adapter and the Celerity FC-44ES quad-channel 4-Gb Fibre Channel adapter.
ATTO host adapters support the high-bandwidth, streaming data requirements that are demanded by HD/HDV applications and offer unprecedented levels of performance with ATTO's exclusive Advanced Data Streaming (ADS™) Technology. With a combination of features that provide controlled acceleration of large and small blocks of data, ADS manages latency and provides faster and more efficient transfer of data for streaming applications. ATTO host adapters also feature the one-click ATTO Configuration Tool, allowing users to customize settings to achieve maximum performance.
“ATTO's host adapter technology fits well with our video cards and converters for the post-production and television broadcast industries. We are pleased with the results of the ATTO and Blackmagic product tests, and our customers should be confident that the interoperability of these products will increase performance and reliability,” states Grant Petty, CEO of Blackmagic Design.
“ATTO's Celerity and ExpressPCI host adapters are integrated families of advanced storage connectivity solutions for high-bandwidth environments, including high-definition video editing applications and digital content creation,” states Ed Tierney, director of marketing for ATTO. “By certifying our host adapters with an industry-leader like Blackmagic Design, we are able to provide high-performance HD storage connectivity and infrastructure solutions to a wider audience of creative professionals.”
