Apr 16, 2007

NAB 2007 Las Vegas, NV (April 16, 2007) — ATTO Technology, Inc., a global leader of storage connectivity and infrastructure solutions for data-intensive computing environments, announced today that it has partnered with other leading-edge hardware and software technology companies in the Adobe® OpenHD™ Alliance, to deliver a live OpenHD demonstration in the ATTO Technology booth during the NAB tradeshow, the worlds largest Electronic Media Show. The demonstration will show multilayer real-time editing of HD and SD video, graphics and effects, featuring the ATTO ExpressPCI UL5D SCSI host adapter used in a certified configuration with HP's xw9300 workstation, Ciprico's MediaVault 4210 SCSI storage array and a Matrox's Axio HD editing platform.

The ATTO ExpressPCI UL5D, an integral component of this OpenHD Certified Solution, is a dual-channel Ultra320 SCSI PCI Express host adapter, offering throughput of up to 640 MB/sec. for high-performance server environments and applications such as high definition video.

ATTO host adapters are designed to support the high-bandwidth, streaming data requirements that are demanded by HD/HDV applications and offer unprecedented levels of performance with ATTO's exclusive Advanced Data Streaming (ADS™) Technology. With a combination of features that provide controlled acceleration of large and small blocks of data, ADS manages latency and provides faster, more efficient data transfer for streaming applications. ATTO host adapters also feature the one-click ATTO Configuration Tool, allowing users to easily customize settings to achieve maximum performance.

“ATTO Technology is excited about the opportunity to leverage the OpenHD Alliance and our relationship with other alliance partners, like HP, Ciprico and Matrox, to demonstrate a high performance OpenHD Certified Solution for video, film, and broadcast professionals,” said Ed Tierney, director of marketing for ATTO. “ATTO's involvement in the alliance strengthens our commitment to delivering creative high definition end-to-end solutions at an affordable price point.”
