SC18 Caps a Busy Autumn in Computing

The busy autumn conference season wouldn’t be complete without a visit to what started out 30 years ago as “the Supercomputing Conference”. These days it is officially called “the International Conference for High Performance Computing, Networking, Storage, and Analysis” or, concisely, the annual SC conference.

This year SC18 is being held November 11-16 in Dallas, Texas. As a company focused on high performance computing, ATTO will certainly be there.

The SC conference is a unique event where scientists, engineers, developers, system administrators, educators, students, program managers, CIOs, and policy makers gather for an intense and extensive program. It advances all aspects of high performance computing through technical presentations, papers, workshops, tutorials, and Birds of a Feather sessions.

The technical program is the heart of the conference where virtually every area of scientific and engineering research are addressed, as well as technological development, innovation, and education. Over the years, the various programs have included breakthroughs in many areas of computing and have even led to new technology forks.

ATTO will be at home within this community, being one of the companies whose mandate is to innovate data movement within and between systems. Indeed, high performance connectivity, the likes of which ATTO provides, completes the computing architectures that are the focus of the SC conference.
