ATTO Joins the Fibre Channel Industry Association

May 07, 2018

In April, 2018, ATTO Technology, Inc. joined the Fibre Channel Industry Association (FCIA). In doing so, ATTO is able to contribute to the industry its experience and expertise in Fibre Channel and help guide the industry’s future.

According to the FCIA mission statement, "the FCIA is a mutual benefit non-profit international organization of manufacturers, system integrators, developers, vendors, industry professionals and end users. (It) is committed to delivering a broad base of Fibre Channel infrastructure technology to support a wide array of applications within the mass storage and IT-based arenas. FCIA working groups and committees focus on specific aspects of the technology, targeting both vertical and horizontal markets including data storage, video, networking and storage area networking (SAN) management."

Fibre Channel is a mature transport technology that is the foundation for over 90% of all SAN (Storage Area Network) installations throughout the world. The combined speed, security and reliability characteristics of Fibre Channel is the reason it remains the first choice for mission critical applications.

ATTO looks forward to participating in the dialogue about Fibre Channel technology, learning from our peers, and helping to promote and benefit the industry.
