Shared Tape and Optical Drives

ATTO XstreamCORE® is a rack-scale flash and capacity intelligent bridge that bridges 12Gb and 6Gb SAS tape devices and SATA optical devices to share and remotely connect them to Fibre Channel or Ethernet networks.

ATTO XstreamCORE enables remote connectivity to direct attached SAS and SATA devices with robust mapping that allows all hosts to be assigned to individual drives, all drives or none of the drives. XstreamCORE features ATTO SpeedWrite™ technology, which accelerates data throughput while writing to tape drives to maintain effective tape drive performance.

XstreamCORE connects to hosts or fabrics using 40GbE RDMA over Ethernet or 16Gb Fibre Channel to provide lossless transmission of data.  XstreamCORE intelligent bridges connect SAS SSDs, HDDs, Optical and Tape drives with up to a total of 1.2 million 4K IOPS and 6.4GB/s throughput per bridge with as little as <2 microseconds of added latency.
