Partner Spotlight: Dell Technologies

In 1984 while a student at the University of Texas, Michael Dell started selling computers through a business he called PC’s Limited. By the time Dell’s business went public in 1988 the name had changed to the all-familiar Dell Computer Corporation.

More focused on business and professional sales in the beginning with ads only in the print magazines of the day, Dell’s consumer sales rose dramatically after introducing its website in 1996. The website helped to establish a new sales model and the subsequent growth led to Dell becoming a global provider of computing solutions for consumers, education, government and business.

Today, Dell is part of the privately held Dell Technologies family of businesses. Among Dell’s premier professional products are Dell Precision™ tower, rack and mobile workstations which are designed specifically for high-performance workloads. Dell EMC creates powerful infrastructure, data storage, hybrid cloud and data protection solutions that are leaders in the market.

ATTO and Dell have been working together going back into the 1990s, combining engineering knowledge and our expert technical teams to provide complete workflow solutions for a variety of use cases. ATTO products are certification tested with joint solutions listed on the ATTO Dell Technologies Solutions page. This testing ensures interoperable and supported solutions from two trusted companies collaborating to meet the challenges of demanding computing environments around the world.

The latest collaboration between ATTO and Dell EMC is the availability of ATTO XstreamCORE® ET 8200 through Dell EMC directly to compliment Dell EMC PowerVault ML3 scalable tape libraries. It’s the industry’s only commercially available solution to add high-speed Ethernet connectivity to standard SAS LTO tape drives.

For IBC 2020, ATTO will join Dell September 9, 10:00 AM EDT (3:00 PM BST), in a Dell Technologies IBC roundtable event called “Media Industry Innovation: How Leading Companies – Large and Small – Are Deriving Value from Technology”. This event will feature media industry experts who will discuss media workflow solutions that can overcome the challenges of working and creating remotely.
