ATTO XstreamCORE ET 8200/8200T intelligently bridges SAS block devices such as JBODs or tape libraries to iSER or iSCSI Ethernet networks. XstreamCORE provides remote access to SAS storage, enabling storage owners to disaggregate storage from server hardware using JBOD, JBOF, RAID or Tape Storage1.
Optimized for high performance with multiple hardware acceleration engines, 8200/8200T provide industry-leading performance to up to 64 servers with less than 2 microseconds of added latency.
Advanced algorithms accelerate the data path and handle non-data functions independently to provide consistently fast performance (>1.1M 4K IOPS).

8100T for scalable deployments
XstreamCORE 8100T is an accelerated intelligent bridging device that shares up to four SAS tape drives over a 10Gb iSCSI Ethernet network. Ideal for both smaller deployments of up to four drives per bridge and large-scale deployments that involve multiple bridges, 8100T streamlines backup, archive and cold storage workflows by overcoming the limitations of a pure SAS architecture.
8100T leverages ATTO Distributed Software Architecture, a self-optimizing OS designed for storage applications. This architecture prioritizes transaction efficiency and high-performance memory management, ultimately maximizing storage application performance.

What can XstreamCORE 8200 do?
- Use cases include mapping one or many individual drives to space limited rack or blade servers, remapping attached drives from failed servers to replacement servers, adding shared capabilities to direct attached storage and remotely locating direct attached disk or tape devices.
- XstreamCORE supports Extended Copy (LID1) data mover commands and will offload up to 5.2GB/s of data from CPU, memory, networks and storage fabrics leaving more resources for VMs and applications running on the host.
- Features proprietary SpeedWrite™ technology that boosts SAS Tape write performance by up to 20%, especially at a distance. SpeedWrite buffers write commands in a sequential order to sped up write operations.
- Advanced Data Streaming™ (ADS) provides controlled acceleration for smoother data streaming and delivery
- Comprehensive suite of commands for state-of-the-art management of the bridge and connected tape drives.
- Build solutions with up to 960 SAS SSD/HDD devices behind a pair of bridges and better manage, monitor and utilize this storage with current and future features built into XstreamCORE2.
