Open-E Benefits of ATTO XstreamCORE Intelligent Bridges with Stretch Cluster
Orchestrating Smarter, More Efficient Data Management Practices in Industrial Manufacturing with ATTO XstreamCORE

Learn how organizations producing heavy machinery and specialized industrial equipment can boost long-term data security with improved availability while cutting down costs and eliminating unwanted complexity.
Pinewood Studios

Pinewood Studios provides world-class facilities for television and film production services from around the globe. Their creative industry knowledge enabled the creation of recent films such as Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom and Star Wars: The Last Jedi. Speed was a driving factor in Pinewood Digital upgrading their infrastructure from IP-based to a Fibre Channel SAN. Additionally their clients use Apple Macs, which require a Thunderbolt adapter to connect to external Fibre Channel storage. ATTO ThunderLink 2162 Thunderbolt 2 to 16Gb Fibre Channel adapters provide key
Fibre Channel connectivity, by connecting to Fibre Channel switches and a Rohde and Schwarz SpycerBox with ATTO Celerity Fibre Channel HBAs.
PoINT S3 Gateway with ATTO XstreamCORE 8100T

The integrated architecture of PoINT Archival Gateway and ATTO XstreamCORE delivers seamless S3-to-Tape tiering in Ethernet-driven environments. Building on the S3 workflow where applications and backup tools seamlessly interact with PoINT Archival Gateway using standard APIs as familiar endpoints, PoINT’s policy engine applies intelligent rules to automatically tier objects between online storage and tape while maintaining S3-addressable metadata – even when payloads reside on LTO media.

Real-time, Managed Latency of Storage and ATTO’s Specialized Solutions for AI Applications

As artificial intelligence (AI) applications continue to evolve, the need for real-time, managed latency of storage becomes increasingly crucial. This article explores the impact of storage latency on AI applications and highlights the specialized solutions provided by ATTO Technology, a leading provider of high-performance storage and network connectivity solutions.
Reduce OPEX with XstreamCORE

ATTO XstreamCORE provides features and technologies that enhance and improve direct-attached SAS storage while offering flexibility over native Fibre Channel products. Management and monitoring are two primary functionalities that the XstreamCORE adds to direct-attached storage products. Drive Map Director improves maintenance of storage by lowering overall operating expense (OPEX) costs by reducing the number of labor hours required to setup, manage and maintain storage.

Remote Tape Backup Modernizes Healthcare Data Protection with ATTO XstreamCORE

Learn how a European public healthcare provider enhanced data protection and disaster recovery with the ATTO XstreamCORE 8200T. This solution enabled remote tape backup, overcoming limitations of their previous infrastructure and ensuring compliance with industry regulations. As a result, they achieved improved data security, optimized disaster recovery readiness, and cost-effective expansion.
Resolving Non-Responsive ATTO Thunderbolt Adapters

ATTO ThunderLink may become non-responsive but may still appear available within the macOS. This also may occur with an ATTO FastFrame NIC in a third-party Thunderbolt chassis. This only occurs when the ATTO product is connected to a Mac using Thunderbolt Route String 3 AND any additional Thunderbolt device is connected to the Mac on Route String 1. A reboot of the Mac or Thunderbolt device will clear the issue, but it is likely to occur again.
SAN vs Direct-Attached Storage

The visibility of all storage to all hosts in a multi-host virtualized environment, combined with lower implementation costs, makes storage area networks a smart option for businesses of all sizes.
SAN vs. Hyperconverged Storage

Why SAN storage excels over Hyperconverged Infrastructures for performance, latency and capacity.
SAS or NVMe?

Storage architects need to respond to today’s business challenges by ensuring the storage solutions they choose provide the security, stability, scalability and management features necessary to support their ecosystem. As they look toward adopting new storage technologies, there are essential considerations they should weigh and review before moving to a new technology. New storage protocols are continually entering the market, and this paper explores how SAS technology remains the foundation for storage networks and will continue to deliver on that promise tomorrow and beyond.
