WARNING: Some newer Linux distributions (e.g. CentOS, openSUSE) include a driver that conflicts with the ATTO ExpressSAS 6Gb Host Bus Adapter and may cause the system to hang or reboot during initialization when the HBA is installed. If this occurs, you must follow the procedure described in the section Conflicts with the pm8001/pm80xx module before installing the HBA. More information can be found in the ReadMe file downloaded with the device driver.

When installing an ATTO driver on macOS, you may get a pop-up message warning stating that “this is a system extension that will be incompatible with a future version of macOS.” There is no need to be concerned. ATTO currently uses Kernel Extension Drivers to provide the highest-performing drivers possible.
